Saul Bass Anatomy of a murder movie poster Hollywood studios often asked Saul Bass to reassemble or alter his original ideas. Even the most iconic posters we’re familiar with – like Vertigo and Anatomy of a murder – are not what Bass originally conceived. Bass wasn’t satisfied with the Anatomy of a murder poster that was used in the marketing campaign. He privately printed his original design in a limited edition. The poster on the left was done in 1984 in an edition of 300.
